Lobster Shack Raises £2281.00

The end of 2015 brought great sorrow to the members of Lobster, a band that had been making music together for several years. Within just two months, four of the six band members suffered the loss of a loved one, leaving the band in a state of grief.

On November 25th, the band was struck with devastating news when Nathan, their keyboard player, lost his younger brother Michael at the young age of 20. Michael had been pursuing his dream career in live events, working on live sound, video, and lighting. He tragically passed away while working in Dubai due to what is believed to be DIB syndrome associated with Type 1 Diabetes. Michael was a kind and determined young man, and he had much to offer the world. He had been a part of the Lobster family since the beginning, and many fans may remember him as the guy who filmed their events at the Wagon and Horses in 2012 and 2013. Most of the videos on their YouTube channel were filmed by Michael, and it is emotional for the band to watch them back now.

Despite the tragedy, the band has found a way to honour Michael’s memory. After an emotional evening and with the support of friends and family, the Lobster Shack raised £2281.00 for Diabetes UK through the foundation set up in Michael’s name. This gesture not only helps keep Michael’s memory alive but also supports a cause that was important to him.

The band would like to express their gratitude for the continued support of their fans during this difficult time. While it has been a tough time for the band, they are back and ready to continue making music. Michael Lewis may be gone but he will never be forgotten, and he will always be a member of the Lobster family. RIP Michael Lewis – 14/5/1995 – 25/11/2015.
