The first Michael Lewis Foundation golf day sponsored by Auction House Birmingham and The Black Country has blown all expectations away raising a staggering £4632.00.
The setting was Walsall Golf club, the sun shone down and the event was a complete sell out with 22 four ball teams entering the competition but it wasn’t about winning or losing everyone had turned up to raise money and what an effort it was.
Chris and Cheryl and the Auction House team working along side the Walsall golf club had things running like clock work from Bacon rolls on arrival, registration and remarkable timings of the shot gun start to ensure all finished in a timely manner for the evening meal.
The evening unfolded with prize giving from Chris Edwards to the winning team Hearnshaws Carpets and then onto a moving speech by Cheryl that provided an insight into type 1 Diabetes and the challenges it brings up on a daily basis.
This lead nicely into a the raffle which we can not thank everyone enough from those that donated prizes and the generosity of those that bought tickets both on the evening and prior.
A big big thank you goes to Auction House and Walsall Golf Club and we would like to thank Mike for providing the perfect weather.
