The Michael Lewis Foundation was founded with a mission to raise funds and awareness for Type 1 Diabetes in honour of Michael’s name. The founders never sought personal recognition, so winning the Auction House Charity Award for their work was a humbling experience.
Cheryl and Chris attended the Auction House conference to accept the award and described the moment as surreal. They acknowledged that the foundation couldn’t have achieved anything without the tremendous support of their friends, family, and colleagues.
The foundation and its trustees are deeply grateful for all the support they have received and hope that it will continue in the future. They extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to the foundation’s cause.
The Auction House Charity Award is a testament to the foundation’s dedication and hard work in raising awareness and support for those living with Type 1 Diabetes and their families. The foundation’s efforts have made a significant impact in the community, and they will continue to work towards their goal of finding a cure.
Through events like the Cheshire Triathlon, the Michael Lewis Foundation Golf Day, and the 3 Peaks Challenge, the foundation seeks to raise funds and awareness while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. The challenges faced by those living with Type 1 Diabetes are significant, and the foundation’s work is essential in improving their quality of life.
The foundation remains committed to its cause and hopes that more people will join their efforts to make a positive impact in the lives of those living with Type 1 Diabetes. Every contribution counts, whether it’s through volunteering, fundraising, or simply spreading awareness. Let us all #LIVELIKEMIKE and work towards a brighter future.
