Tom Watkeys, a supporter of the Michael Lewis Foundation, recently participated in the Tough Mudder Challenge to raise money for the foundation. The challenge involves completing a 5k run through torturous mud and various obstacles, including The Block Ness Monster, Kiss of Mud, Mud Mile, Everest, Berlin Walls, and Pyramid Scheme.
Tom’s determination and perseverance were on full display as he overcame these obstacles and completed the challenge. His efforts raised an impressive £400.00 for the Michael Lewis Foundation.
The Michael Lewis Foundation was founded in memory of Michael, who lived with Type 1 Diabetes and tragically passed away in 2014. The foundation seeks to raise awareness and support for those living with Type 1 Diabetes and their families while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. Through events like the Cheshire Triathlon, the Michael Lewis Foundation Golf Day, and the 3 Peaks Challenge, the foundation aims to raise funds for research towards finding a cure.
Tom’s participation in the Tough Mudder Challenge is a testament to the resilience and determination of those affected by Type 1 Diabetes. The Michael Lewis Foundation is deeply grateful for Tom’s efforts and support.
The foundation encourages everyone to join their cause and support their mission. Every contribution counts, whether it’s through volunteering, fundraising, or simply spreading awareness. Let us all #LIVELIKEMIKE and work towards a brighter future.
